  • Tour-proven performance on PGA TOUR Champions and elite senior players.

Featured Profiles

Newton Motion

Smooth loading, mid-weight, ultra-stable.

Driver & Fairway

Fast Motion

~10g lighter for more speed without losing control.

Max Speed

Motion Fairway (Uncut)

Built to spec for your 3/5/7 wood gapping.

MB Custom Build

Every Newton build at MB Custom Golf is trimmed, tipped, and checked on Mitchell equipment for loft/lie, swing weight, and frequency — not just slapped into a head.

Why we trust Newton for smoother, joint-friendly speed.

Newton’s Motion technology is designed to let the shaft load along a longer section of the profile instead of “kicking” hard at one point. That makes it easier for you to feel the head, square the face, and keep your tempo — especially if you don’t swing like you’re 25 anymore.

Their unique Dot System replaces confusing flex labels. Instead of guessing between “R/S/X”, you choose a Dot based on how far you actually carry the ball. We then use that Dot as the starting point and fine-tune length, tipping, and head combo in the studio.

Energy & Feel

Effortless power

Built to store energy smoothly and release it through impact, helping you pick up speed without feeling like you’re swinging out of control.

Consistency

Symmetry 360 design

The shaft is built to be consistent all the way around, so every build starts with a neutral, stable profile before we tune it for your swing.

Speed without abuse

Fast Motion weight class

Fast Motion trims roughly 10 grams off compared to Motion, ideal for golfers who want more clubhead speed but still need stability and control.

Tour-trusted

Champions Tour proven

Newton shafts have been in the bags of multiple PGA TOUR Champions winners and veteran ball-strikers, the same profile we fit for serious amateurs.

Newton Dot System – simple flex, smarter fitting.

Instead of guessing between “Regular, Stiff, X”, Newton numbers their shafts by carry distance. You pick the Dot that matches how far you actually hit it — then we dial in the build.

In-studio verification on Mitchell frequency + swing weight.
Dot
Typical Carry Window*
Typical Player
1–2 Dot
~170–210 yds
Smooth tempo, moderate speed, or newer golfers.
3–4 Dot
~210–250 yds
Most established amateurs with balanced tempo.
5–6 Dot
~250–280+ yds
Aggressive hitters and higher clubhead speed players.

*Carry windows are starting points only. During your fitting we’ll validate ball speed, launch, and spin to pick the right Dot, weight, and tipping.

How MB Custom Golf builds your Newton setup.

We stock Newton Motion driver, fairway, and uncut options so we can build your shaft to the exact length, tipping, and feel you need. Uncut fairway shafts give us room to nail your 3/5/7 wood gapping instead of forcing you into stock lengths.

Every build is checked on Mitchell loft/lie machines, swing-weighted to your target feel, and verified for frequency. If you’re coming from an off-the-rack “upgraded shaft” that was never actually measured, the difference in consistency will be obvious.

  • Launch monitor fitting with your gamer vs Newton Motion / Fast Motion.
  • Dot selection based on real ball speed and carry, not just what’s on the label.
  • Tour-style build with measured swing weight, length, and face angle.

Who Newton fits best

• Golfers who swing with rhythm and want the shaft to stay in sync with them.
• Players in their 40s, 50s, 60s+ who still want speed but need their joints to feel better after the round.
• Anyone who’s tired of guessing flex and wants a more logical, distance-based system.

If you’ve been curious why so many Champions Tour players have that purple/blue Newton shaft in play, this is your chance to feel that same profile built to your swing instead of theirs.
